Kathryn
Theallet, a lifelong rider, has specialized in dressage for the past twenty years, starting with a Swedish Warmblood mare she bought from Anne
Gribbons.
In addition to training with Gribbons at Knoll Farm, Kate worked with Gail and Hector Carmona at the Los Alamos Dressage Center for a number of years and, later, with the Olympic judge Isabelle
Judet.
Kate has spent the
last 6 years in training with Patrick le Rolland, the "Ecuyer
en Chef" at Samur from 1965 to 1980, and widely considered
the best dressage rider that France has ever produced. A
respected trainer and coach as well, who represented France at
the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Patrick was also 6th at the World
Championships in Copenhagen, 12th at the European Championships
in Aarhus in 1979, and most notably, the coach and trainer of
Margit Otto-Crepin and Corlandus.
Kate imports and trains horses, coaches
students, and competes through Grand Prix. She is a USDF silver medallist
and an AHSA L judge.
